Abloy FAQ
The Abloy Locking Principle
Cylinder: Abloy uses a rotating disc cylinder that features up to thirteen discs to create over 360 million unique combinations per keyway. These discs have "false gates" that are shallow cuts along the edge of the discs which makes picking virtually impossible.
No Springs: This helps the lock perform well under extremely harsh environmental conditions.
Keyway: Abloy features registered and unique keyways. The front of the keyway has a free spinning hardened steel disc that stands up to drilling attacks by preventing the drill bits from entering the lock.
Side bar: Abloy uses a locking bar for positive locking.
Keys: All Abloy keys are constructed of strong nickel silver to provide accurate operation and lasting durability.
